Balayage the trend that's here to stay…

Hair colour and hair colour application has changed a lot over the years. When balayage hit our salons, we wondered if it was a trend just for a season, but truth is balayage is here to stay. It’s been a game changer when it comes to colour.

Balayage is a French word that means 'to sweep' and that’s exactly what happens, we sweep the colour onto your hair to create a look that is natural, almost as if you have been kissed by the sun. Balayage coloured pieces are very close and soft at the root, leading to thicker highlights at the end of the hair, which means regrowth is often easier to manage.

If you like the idea of balayage but you want something more dramatic, perhaps an ombré is for you. Less subtle than a balayage, this colour technique tends to keep roots dark, saturating the ends with a lighter tone – just like your favourite ombré dress.

Whether you want to colour your hair for the first time or add tones to an existing colour, our highly skilled hair colour technicians at Haringtons hair salons can create a bespoke colour for you.
